Absorption measures the relationship between volume and directional price movement to identify where the market is absorbing aggressive order flow. High buy absorption means large buy volume produced little upward movement — sellers are absorbing it. High sell absorption means large sell volume produced little downward movement — buyers are absorbing it. Aggregates across spot, perp, and inverse markets.
