About

PolishQuant - When does BTC actually trade? BTC Volume Data turns hourly volume into a clear picture of the weekly rhythm: which days and UTC hours are busy, which are dead, and how today compares. FOUR MOVABLE WINDOWS Open each from the window badge next to the indicator name, then drag or dock them anywhere. Keep the chart open (it can be small): it drives the windows. 1. VOLUME HEATMAP (weekday × hour, UTC) Rows are days (Sunday on top), columns are hours 00–23. Each cell is colored against a normal hour: dark = quiet, mid green = normal (1×), brightest = 3× or more. Switch to Raw volume to color by dollars traded. 2. AVERAGE DAILY VOLUME BY WEEKDAY Average $ billions traded per day for Sunday to Saturday, plus Weekdays and Weekends averages. Green = busier than an average day, orange = quieter. 3. AVERAGE VOLUME BY HOUR OF DAY Average $ millions traded in each UTC hour. Green = busier than an average hour, orange = quieter. Shows at a glance when the Asia, Europe and US sessions carry the market. 4. TABLES Key takeaways: busiest and quietest hour, busiest and quietest day, weekdays vs weekends, and the last full hour vs the same hour in earlier weeks (1.0× = normal). History: total volume for each recent day, week (Sunday–Saturday) or month, vs the average and vs the period before. The top row tracks the period in progress and whether it is on pace to beat the average, projected with the normal intraday pattern so a quiet morning isn't mistaken for a slow day. SETTINGS Lookback: 1–12 weeks averaged by the heatmap, bar charts and takeaways. Heatmap color: vs normal hour or raw volume. History table: group by day, week or month. The About tab in the settings explains every window. HOW THE NUMBERS WORK Data is the chart's own market as 1-hour candles. USD volume = volume × typical price (high + low + close) / 3. All times are UTC. Averages cover exactly the chosen lookback and roll forward every hour; partly loaded periods are left out of the history table. Figures are for the single venue on your chart, not all exchanges combined. TIPS Use 8–12 weeks for a stable weekly pattern. Short lookbacks react faster, but one news spike can dominate a cell. Built for BTC; works on any market the chart shows. Informational tool, not financial advice.
