About
Pivot Trendlines Dynamic support and resistance based on trendlines drawn between real price pivots — not arbitrary levels. How it works The indicator detects pivot highs and lows and connects each new pivot with previous ones of the same type. Every line starts as a candidate and must earn its place: it gets confirmed when price touches and respects it, and is discarded if price breaks it without ever validating it first. When a resistance is broken upward, it flips to behave as support (and vice versa), with the color updating automatically. Each line carries an internal score based on number of touches, touch quality (smaller wick crossings = better), age, and a penalty for polarity flips. Only the highest-scoring lines stay visible. Clustering into channels When several lines share similar slope and price level, they're merged into a channel: the top and bottom lines of the cluster with shaded fill between them, following their real slopes. The more lines in a cluster, the thicker the borders and the more opaque the fill — an immediate visual cue of which zones carry the most weight. Filters Proximity filter hides lines far from current price (configurable as % or ATR multiple). Candidate TTL removes lines that never get validated. Memory and drawing caps prioritize confirmed, recent, high-score lines. What it's for Spotting the technical zones price actually respects, weighted by evidence. Useful for identifying bounces, breakouts with retest, convergence of multiple channels, and distinguishing strong zones (thick, opaque) from weak ones (thin, isolated). Tuned by default for 5-minute charts, easily adapted to any timeframe.
